Inman Park Festival.
Today we had our tennis banquet at Savage Pizza, and it was all really sweet and sad. And the pizza was super good but thats not relevant (I ate four and a half pieces…) It was sad because one of my closer friends on the team isn’t going to our school next year and I really do love her. She is such an optimistic, fun person. Almost like a ray of sunshine but she’s super sarcastic, so not quite.
Anywho, today I giggled at myself because we learned that Thomas Jefferson was cousins with John Marshall, but they had a strong enmity between them, but Marshall had to swear in Jefferson as president. FOR SOME REASON I imagined him swearing in Jefferson and kicking him beneath the podium (there is a podium in my vision) and I laughed out loud in class and it was a bit awkward.
Reading that now its actually not that funny at all but still made me giggle earlier today.
BOY, IS MY STOMACH MAD WITH ME! Four pieces! Still have the Canon in possession so there are a few pictures of the banquet, most of them are of me eating (hahahahah)

I love the greetings on WordPress, they’re so cute.
Anyway, the purpose of this post is to do a little happy dance for me because I uploaded a little picture for myself that you all can see, but I really shouldn’t have because I’m doing homework and studying and I’m not trying to get off-track but here I am on wordpress again…
The picture is of me in my kitchen, and my friend took it for her photography class. It wasn’t chosen as one of the best from that particular roll so it was mine to keep, hurrah! It was a very informal thing, not posed or anything, so I like it all the better.

spring break has ended

Its so sad going back to school again when you just want it to be spring break forever. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE A LOTTA TESTS THAT YOU’RE probably GONNA NOT DO TOO WELL ON….hahahah. Thank God for re-takes.
Tennis regionals today. Our tennis team in a nutshell: the guys are good, the girls not so much, but since we’re a public schools and we play all these fancy-ass private schools that live to play tennis we lose a lot of matches. Whatta fat shame. Anywho, regionals today. We lost our match in about half an hour and headed on up to Steak n’ Shake. IF THE WORLD ENDED and I was forced to live somewhere for the rest of my life, that would be my second choice. (First one would be Costco, duhrrr.) And then we just skipped the rest of the day. My only complaint is that its hotter than Hades in Atlanta right now and its only April. And if you’re wondering how hot Hades is I can help you out. It was around 82 degrees today which feels a lot hotter than it sounds. But for the most part I’m excited for the warmer hotter weather because that makes it appropriate to wear….ROMPERS. These little things are the best. I’m obsessed with them and that is not an exaggeration. Rompers and overalls, too. At least I only have to wait 33 more days to go all out with my infatuation because school ends in 33 days. Whooooooooop de doooooooooooooooooo.

P.S. Scored myself some free Arizona tea AND a guy on the street gave me a mini-bible. I have a weakness for free shit, no matter how little I need it. But the tea was SUPER good. It reminds me of summertime and thats always nice.

Saw them in concert last night and since then I’ve been replaying it over

and over again in my head.
They were so unbelievably marvelous and I just about peed my pants when they came on stage. Oh lordy THEY WERE SO GOOT
Do you want to hear me rant on and on about how good it was? Because I will. I wish that a) I had brought some sort of way to document the night besides an awful camera phone and b) I was in a band. Hahahah.
Also I think I may have a ginger magnet in me. Everywhere I go I meet gingers! Don’t get me wrong, I love my ginger magnet. It just makes me laugh sometimes…

SPRING BREAK! Hurrah hurrah! I just really love having the time to do everything and nothing all at once. And being out of school is really great too..
Also I wanted to mention/congratulate the 50th anniversary of Doc Martens. Although I’ve never owned a pair I’ve always had this weird fascination with them and if I ever have 100andsomething dollars to buy WHATEVER I want they will be in mind for sure. Anyways, so for their fiftieth anniversary they’ve put out these records and they’ve bewitched me because they’re so great. Here is one of them, enjooyy!
I think this video is a little bit ridiculous but it must have been SO much fun to make.

Spring weather is showing its face again in the most pleasant way. Today is the type of day that authors play up with alluring synonyms, and I just about want to punch something for having to be inside like a ratty old bag lady. At least there are windows that open…
But really, its enchanting.
Which makes me wonder…what enchants you? Everyone has these strange little habits that they love doing with no explanation. My uncle? Loves to peel things. From oranges to stickers to sunburns, he lives for it. To me, its nasty (the sunburn part) but he loves it.
Also, Louis XIV (1638-1715) supposedly had this weird eating habit. I guess since he was a king he could eat whatever the hell he wanted, but (supposedly) he only had a sip or two of tea in the morning..and then for lunch he had plates and plates of heaping food. And when he was finished with those foods, he ate some more heaping plates of food. When he died, they learned that his stomach and intestines were twice the normal size. Speechless.
By the way, I never did that water fast. Much much much much easier said than done…I suppose I have awful willpower..
BACK to this day. If only I had my camera and I could try and document how captivating it is. Its so sad that in a little while the sky will be dark and my beautiful day will be gone.
